(More customer reviews)I purchased the West Bend Homestyle Bread maker & found that it's easy to use. Add your liquid ingredients first, then bread flour and other dry igredients and add the yeast last. If you'll add the yeast to the top farthest point from the dough paddle you really will get a better loaf so the yeast doesn't activate too fast. The manual is easy to follow and has enough good recipes to keep me busy for awhile. It has a twist lock bread pan. It's as simple as adding your ingredients pushing a couple of buttons and come back to fresh bread. It makes a vertical loaf, which I really like for a more uniform shape. The small viewing window isn't a mistake, actually it's a good feature because having a window that's too large can cause condensation to drip onto the loaf and make the crust soggy. If you'll notice, most older panasonic bread makers don't even have a viewing window for this reason. I've made several types of bread and each one has come out perfect. It also does a good job mixing and kneading the dough, I've used it for coffee cakes and it's perfect every time. Has plenty of features that I still haven't tried yet but have been very happy with it so far. Good luck with your bread!
