(More customer reviews)I have owned 5 cutting boards in the past. Bamboo, plastic, etc. This is the best one. Very durable...I bought it January 2009 and it hasn't cracked or developed mold. My last bamboo board cracked in just 2 months. Had one of those plastic boards which darkened in 3 months and couldn't even bleach it out so I threw it away. I just ordered the larger one this week.

A handsome and professional addition to any kitchen, this substantial square-shaped chef's board makes dicing, chopping, and other food preparation a breeze. The board's sustainable acacia-wood construction--loved for its rich color variance and beautiful natural grain--offers a safe and hygienic place to trim steaks and chicken breasts, slice fruits and vegetables, mince herbs, and ready a host of other mealtime ingredients, while its end-grain cut provides added strength to create a sturdy, reliable kitchen tool. Even more, its oversized design prevents bits and pieces from falling off and allows the attractive board to double as an eye-catching serving piece when hosting finger-food parties or slicing made-to-order roast beef on the sideboard. A necessity for proper food preparation--and a safe alternative to flimsier cutting surfaces that can damage cutlery or countertops--the chef's board, with its smooth-edged sides and rounded corners, measures 14 by 14 by 1-1/4 inches and cleans up easily by hand with warm soapy water.
