The metal tops screw directly onto the glass - no gaskets etc. I didn't expect this to be an issue but both vinegar and oil leak (significantly). This has caused more mess and cleanup then I am willing to deal with. I could probably get a gasket - but that shouldn't be necessary (even at this low price).
Visually and structurally (excepting the leaks) the cruets are fine. Perhaps others have/will have better luck - but mine leak.
